Twitterpated!

The Occasions Mini Catalog features one of my most favorite prints EVER! It's called Twitterpated which is so appropriate because I am twitterpated over it! Not only does it come in designer series paper which has coordinating cardstock, ribbon, dies and brads, but it also comes in FABRIC!

Here are some other examples from other fabulous crafters of the Twitterpated designer fabric and paper!

Leadership Loot!

Last month I attended Stampin' Up! Regional Leadership Training and Conference in San Antonio Texas. I want to share with you everything I brought home!

Stampin' Up! is so unbelievably generous! We were spoiled! I came home with all this!

13 Make and Take projects
6 Stamp Sets
2 Rolls of Ribbon
1 Pack of Rhinestones
2 Packs of Pearls
1 Pack of Designer Series Paper
1 Pack of Bakers Twine
2 Packs of Buttons
1 CD of My Digital Studio Software Pack
1 Pack of Occasion Mini Catalogs
1 Pack of Sale-a-Bration Catalogs
1 Simply Scored Diagonal Plate & Stylus from PRIZE PATROL!

When we checked in we were given a bag made from what I can only guess is a new designer print coming out this summer. The bag was made of adorable fabric and the bottom could be unbuttoned and turned inside out. Too stinkin' cute.

In ADDITION we were given a special gift from Shellie the CEO and Founder of Stampin' Up! A card organizer made of the same fabric as our bags! It came adorned with a bauble and signed tag from Shellie.

And on top of all these amazing products we were given, they had what they call PRIZE PATROL. Several times throughout the training workshops, a certain colored/patterned wristband was chosen, and those who received that particular one at check in was awarded awesome prizes.

Want all this stuff too?  Become a part of my team at Stampin' Up! This fabulous hobby is my part time job!  With an amazing and generous company I get PAID to have fun doing what I love - making cards!

If you only want to get huge savings on fabulous products - join my team just for the discount!

Valentines Day History

Every February we celebrate Valentine's Day by giving flowers, candy and cards to those we love. We do this in honor of Saint Valentine. You may be wondering, "Who is St. Valentine"?
Legend has it that Valentine was a priest who served during third century Rome. There was an Emperor at that time by the name of Claudius II. Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those that were married. With this thought in mind he outlawed marriage for young men in hopes of building a stronger military base. Supposedly, Valentine, decided this decree just wasn't fair and chose to marry young couples secretly. When Emperor Claudius II found out about Valentine's actions he had him put to death.
Another legend has it that Valentine was an imprisoned man who fell in love with his jailor's daughter. Before he was put to death he sent the first 'valentine' himself when he wrote her a letter and signed it 'Your Valentine', words still used on cards today.
Another valentine gentleman you may be wondering about is Cupid (Latin cupido, "desire"). In Roman mythology Cupid is the son of Venus, goddess of love. His counterpart in Greek mythology is Eros, god of love. Cupid is often said to be a mischievous boy who goes around wounding both gods and humans with his arrows, causing them to fall in love.

This is a super cute an easy card I made for my husband a while back. I think it's perfect for Valentines. The options with these stamp sets are endless and so much fun!

Preschool Valentines

My cutie patootie Toryn goes to preschool 3 mornings a week and she has 45 little school-mates. Soooo YES! She and I made 45 mini 3x3 flat Valentines for her little friends. She helped me punch out the hearts with Stampin' Up! glimmer paper and glue them on while I did the stamping.

The sentiment says "Hope today finds you feeling as loved as you really are". She then signed her name on the bottom. (Well, she signed or scribbled her name on about 2 of them then ran out of steam so I had to help sign the rest).

For the teachers, we made a full mini 3x3 card that opens and put them inside mini envelopes. Toryn is so excited to pass them out at school.

This heart punch as to be my most favorite ever! I use it all the time!

The Heart Punch coordinates PERFECTLY with the Sweetheart stamp set and Heart Cups!

Make and Takes from Leadership

Here are some of the cute Make and Take projects we did at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in San Antonio Texas 2 weeks ago. The 4-day conference was held for supervisors and above where we learned about upcoming products, new techniques and best of all got to make a TON of projects like these!

These card kits were pre-designed and pre-cut and we did the fun stuff - stamp and assemble!

All of the cards we made use the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit, the Mixed Bunch stamp Set and coordinating Blossom Punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog!  Super cute!
